Per CD COMM #61 dated February 16, 2000, the following will apply for all NASA Official functions: Lackman Culinary Services (Lackman), and Delaware North Park Services (Delaware North) have exclusive first rights to all catered events on Kennedy Space Center property to include KARS I and KARS II. Organizations are required to first compete catering services among the two providers. If the two providers are unable to satisfy the event's requirements, then an exemption must be requested and approved by Jim Hattaway, Associate Director, Mail Code AA-B, prior to contacting off-Center food providers. Unless an exemption is granted, only Lackman, Delaware North, and the Division of Blind Services are authorized to prepare and sell food on the Center. This policy excludes "pot luck" luncheons and dinners and items purchased off-Center and shared informally in the office.
